Course 5 – roast of Lion's Mane mushroom, wild garlic, black-eyed peas 🤯
Course 4 – kohlrabi, mushrooms, nettles, fresh cheese 👏
Course 3 – fresh baked bread and cultured butter 🤤
Course 2 – roasted Bolero carrots, benne, fennel, sorghum

I long for the day when restaurants like @oysteroysterdc will be commonplace rather than the exception. Though this year-old neighborhood spot in Shaw mainly serves vegetarian and vegan cuisine, you should not treat that shopworn label as stigma. Oyster Oyster has admirably demonstrated over the past year that its vegetable-forward food is ridiculously delicious. This is fine vegetable cookery that shows up on a plate as great cuisine with a multitude of flavors layered and meshed harmoniously together. No matter how persnickety your palate is, or the prefix you may choose to describe your eating preference, I daresay you will enjoy this food. After trying it, you might just wonder, as I have on more than one occasion, “Why should meat ever be the star attraction?”
