- What does the name “The Hungry Glomad” mean? The word “glomad” is a portmanteau of “global” and “nomad”. For close to two decades, my job has had me moving every 3 years to a new location, not counting the numerous temporary duties I have had nationally and internationally between those assignments. Also, I love to travel, whether it’s for work or for leisure. The “hungry” part is simple to understand. Food is one of my favorite subjects.
- Is there anything you won’t eat? I’ve yet to encounter that item. I don’t have too much of a gag reflex, and my curiosity usually wins out.
- What has been your favorite meal? I don’t necessarily have one. I do have favorite tasting menus I’ve eaten in specific cities. A favorite meal is not necessarily all about the food itself but a combination of factors such as people I dined with, the mood I was in, and the memory of the meal itself.
